As a technical developer and consultant, you'll provide services to strengthen and improve health care operations that result in stronger financial returns and help make the health care system work better for everyone. You will be designing, developing, and maintaining data warehouse and analytics architecture to meet an enterprise’s business analysis and reporting needs. You must have a sound understanding of BI best practices, relational structures, dimensional data modeling, structured query language (SQL) and reporting skills and techniques. Working alongside architects and business partners you will fashion out the technical vision for applications in Customer Data Warehouses employing a variety of technologies. Primary Responsibilities:

  • In collaboration with business and technology stakeholders, create star schema data models, perform ETLs, build reports and validate results
  • Supporting implemented BI solutions by: monitoring and tuning queries and data loads, addressing user questions concerning data integrity, monitoring performance, communicating functional and technical issues and working with database administrators to ensure that the data warehouse is tuned for optimal performance
  • Providing support to the organization’s business requirements in the application and consumption of information from the Enterprise Data Warehouse (EDW) or from other suitable source systems
  • Designing, developing, and supporting new and current ETL processes employing industry standards and best practices to enhance loading of data from and into different source/ target systems as well as ensure proper functioning of analytics, and client’s or third-party’s reporting environments and dashboard
  • Working with business analysts and project managers to develop and refine reporting and analytics requirements. Design and develop reports and analytics capability
  • Managing the database aspects of the reporting and analytics platform(s) to ensure that reporting jobs are successfully run and analytics data aligns to timeliness, completeness of requirements
  • Work with the data quality manager to identify and resolve data issues through data cleansing and de-duplication software
  • Ensure all data warehouse architecture, ETL & reporting codes are maintained in a version control system

Required Qualifications:

  • 4+ years of experience in information technology, data management, and application development
  • 4+ years of experience in designing and building Data warehouse/Data marts / Operational  Data Stores(ODS)
  • 3+ years in application and solution architecture in the Data warehouse/Business Intelligence  domain
  • 3+ years managing projects
  • 3+ years of experience in Data Profiling & data analysis in a DW environment  on Teradata/Oracle/MS SQL Server
  • 3+ years of experience in creating Source to Target Mappings.
  • 3+ years of Data/Dimensional modeling and EDW implementation experience in Teradata/ Oracle/ MS SQL Server
  • 3+ years of ETL build using SSIS/ Informatica/ DataStage or other Data Integration Tools
  • 2+ years client facing consulting experience on large business process or systems integration projects
  • Travel is based on project requirements, scope and location
    • Projects may require up to 80% travel
    • If travel is required, typical travel schedule is out early Monday, back late Thursday with option to telecommute from home on Friday

Preferred Qualifications:

  • 4 year College Degree - a Bachelor's Degree or equivalent (Math, Computer Science, Engineering or MIS) 
  • Ability to design and build out reusable components
  • Exceptional experience developing codes, testing for quality assurance, administering RDBMS, and monitoring of database
  • High proficiency in dimensional modeling techniques and their applications
  • Strong analytical, consultative, and communication skills; as well as the ability to make good judgment and work with both technical and business personnel
  • Working knowledge of SAS and R code used in data processing and modeling tasks
  • Experience with Microsoft Azure and Amazon AWS computing platforms
  • Understanding and development of application development frameworks and standardization of design patterns
  • Expert Knowledge in creating source to target mappings and ETL design for integration of new/modified data streams into the data warehouse/data marts
  • Agile experience and understanding of transitional strategies from the traditional Waterfall approach to an Agile approach
