You can visit our website at Title Account Executive, Senior Position Posting Location Buffalo Status Full Time Regular Hours 40 Job Description Responsible for managing a book of business comprised of large and complex accounts that are both fully-insured and self-insured. Collaborates with internal support areas for successful implementation and ongoing account satisfaction. Mentors and develops lesser experienced Account Management team members. Primary Responsibility Manages assigned book of business of select accounts; manages and retains the HN-customer-broker relationship, advances product/service enhancements for account relationships. Collaborates with all internal support areas to ensure successful implementation and ongoing account satisfaction for assigned accounts. Depending on assignment, group size may exceed 750 members and comprised of ASO and Alternate funded accounts. Assists members of the Commercial Accounts management team with ongoing planning activities, including but not limited to input on various account performance tools, allocations of books of business, budgeting and projections. Mentors Account Management personnel using various client engagement skills, knowledge sharing and use of all available HealthNow customer tool sets. Identifies additional training needs as appropriate. Acts as Account Management liaison with Commercial Accounts Sales department on the acquisition of key Buffalo accounts with respect to proposals, presentations, negotiations and product/service implementation. Knowledge and Skills Strong foundation in financial analysis and strong understanding of advanced financial/underwriting principles and funding arrangements. Demonstrated ability to function in a leadership and sales consulting capacity. Working knowledge of Self-funding arrangements and ERISA regulations. Ability to develop strategic planning for key accounts. Ability to develop and deliver executive level sales presentations, proposals and account analyses. Effective oral and written communication skills. Ability to communicate clearly and concisely with all levels of the organization and with outside employer and community groups. Ability to be responsive to the needs and requirements of the customers/members, and to provide effective ongoing servicing and support. Strong organizational skills and attention to details. Qualifications External Contacts: Brokers, GBA's, Executives Experience or related field. MBA preferred. Requires a minimum of seven (7) years of progressively responsible experience in an account/relationship management role. Requires a minimum of five (5) years of Health insurance experience to include three (3) years with self-funded accounts. Demonstrated experience in strategic sales to "C Suite" level executives. Education Required Education:Bachelors Degree (Business Admin.) License Life, Health and Accident Agent Working Conditions Must be able to accommodate local travel. Valid drivers license and acceptable driving history required due to travel involved with this position (DMV check will be conducted to review candidate's driving record) Must be able to occasionally attend off-site meetings, events, conferences Must be able to work in an office environment Travel to employer group locations, as required.
