As an Accountant, you’ll work with an elite team of accounting and finance professionals who are writing the history of our organization and guiding our success as a global industry leader. That’s a lot of responsibility, but you will have the support and resources of a Fortune 5 industry leader behind you every step of the way.


Primary Responsibilities:

  • You will be responsible for the preparation and analysis of financial statements, including balance sheets and income statements, based on Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP)
  • Monitor financial systems, Identify errors, and prepare monthly correcting entries

  • Perform complex balance sheet reconciliations
  • Prepare documentation in support of external and internal audits
  • Participate on working groups and be part of User acceptance testing related to financial system implementations, and to develop and communicate innovative approaches for continued improvement in efficiency and effectiveness
  • Assist with or lead the quarterly close calls with entity executives
  • Perform ad hoc reporting and analysis and investigate issues providing explanations and proposing solutions


Required Qualifications:
  • Degree in Business Administration or Accounting

  • Intermediate use of Excel, Word and PowerPoint

  • Experience with Month End Closing and preparation of financial statements

  • 1+ years of experience in a mid to large size corporate environment

  • Strong understanding of Generally Accepted Accounting Principals (GAAP)

Preferred Qualifications
  • Insurance Industry Experience

  • Public Accounting Experience

  • Well-developed communication abilities with strong written and presentation skills as well as excellent interpersonal skills

  • Disciplined, focused, well-organized, results-driven

  • Experience with Microsoft SQL Server is a highly desirable asset

  • Self-confident and the ability to adapt to changing circumstances

  • A person who is proactive and a “quick study”, is attracted to challenge and brings an energetic and forward thinking approach, along with high ethical standards

  • Technical curiosity and inclination
