Title Analyst Actuarial I Position Posting Location Buffalo Status Full Time Regular Hours As required Job Description Under direct supervision, the Actuarial Analyst I performs individual project tasks as requested, executes basic calculations, and understands basic concepts of actuarial analysis. The incumbent is responsible for utilizing various sources to procure data and then turning that data into meaningful information, as well as fulfilling ad hoc requests. - Provides clear, accurate and well-designed analyses and reports to management within requested time frames

- Technical - effective use of technology; strong technical acumen and ability to understand functionality of reporting and analytical tools such as Excel, MS Access and Cognos, as well as familiarity with MS Word and PowerPoint
- Other Skills and Abilities - outstanding analytic skills in order to recognize and recommend solutions to problems relating to project data and information. Ability to interact with a cross-functional set of internal stakeholders (Sales/Marketing, Information Technology, Senior Management, Finance and Accounting and Underwriting
Experience - 0-3 years professional experience in a financial analysis role
- Passage of Course 1 of the Society of Actuaries Exams is strongly preferred
Education - Bachelors Degree in Mathematics, Actuarial Science, Statistics, Economics, Finance, Accounting or related area of study required Working Conditions - Must be able to work in an office environment
- Must have ability and access to work from remote location such as home
- Manual Dexterity Req: Eye-hand coordination and manual dexterity sufficient to effectively use a computer with all its components for prolonged periods of time and for the majority of required tasks
