Every person needs the support of others, but we look for very special people to support individuals with disabilities. As an Area Director with REM North Dakota, you’ll be one of those special people who play a critical role in our success.

   

REM North Dakota is seeking an Area Director to manage the operations within a community. Area Directors provide direction, leadership and supervision of professional and other staff at the program site to carry out operations and ensure quality services to consumers.  The Area Director also ensures compliance with applicable state and federal standards.

 

As the Area Director, you will work with a team of regional support staff to provide ongoing services to individuals with developmental disabilities. Direct and supervise staff on tasks such as performance evaluations, scheduling, orientation, and training. Supervisory responsibilities include making decisions on employee hires, transfers, promotions, salary changes, disciplinary actions, and terminations. In this role, you will be responsible for maintaining and fostering relations with consumers, mentors, families, and guardians and will thus implement satisfaction plans as appropriate. Oversee quality enhancement and implementation plans in accordance with network standards, licensing requirements, and individual consumer needs.



Qualifications: Requirements:
  • Bachelor’s degree required
  • Master’s degree in Human Services preferred
  • Three to six years of related experience
  • Management experience in the human services industry required
  • Organization and communication skills to lead the team in our Minot program
  • Strong and effective leadership skills
