The Associate Director, Clinical Quality will be accountable for achieving assigned goals relating to HEDIS/Stars and risk adjustment for Government Programs in the NY Market. This role will be responsible for developing and executing business plans and strategies in the NY market. There will be a strong focus on managing CMS HEDIS/Stars and risk adjustment initiatives and building relationships with internal leadership and the provider community.  This leader is responsible for driving market-level H contracts to a 4 Star rating or higher and will have a staff of 50+ clinical and non-clinical individuals. They will collaborate to execute and meet market goals and rely on a number of individuals across the enterprise to deliver services in support of the NY Market.

Required Qualifications:

  • BS Degree required Advanced degree preferred (Health Administration, Communications, Science, Business, etc.)
  • 5 or more years leadership experience in a health care setting- preferably in a managed care organization or provider practice
  • 2+ years of HEDIS, Stars and / or Risk Adjustment experience
  • Proficient in Microsoft Word, Outlook, PowerPoint and strong Excel and analytical skills
  • Strong relationship building skills with clinical and non-clinical personnel

 

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Demonstrated success, with a deep understanding of Health Care delivery operations and compliance, health care financing and industry trends
  • Strong negotiation skills; the ability to gain acceptance from others of a plan or idea and to achieve mutually beneficial outcomes
  • Proven record of strong strategic thinking capabilities
  • Certified Risk Coder(CRC)
  • Certified Professional Coder(CPC)
