Associate Clinical Director - Team MD-Nashvile

TeamMD, a part of UnitedHealthcare Community & State and the UnitedHealth Group family of businesses, is an innovative model of care for individuals with complex needs.  At TeamMD, we recognized the need for better care for individuals that integrate clinical services across, medical, behavioral, social, and functional limitations.  We created TeamMD, a value-based clinical model focused on transforming and integrating medical and behavioral care for high-risk Medicare and Medicaid patients.  We are currently expanding our team in Tennessee and we are looking for an Associate Director who can bring compassion, behavioral health and addiction expertise, energy, and focus to this work.  This individual will serve as a liaison between practice management and market leadership, providing subject matter expertise and support in the area of behavioral health, addiction, and business strategies.
 
The Associate Director will be responsible for the overall operations, development and success of our medical practice.  In this important role, the Associate Director will act as an information resource and ambassador to patients, providers, and staff.
 
Primary Responsibilities:
  • Oversee operations of practice
  • Provide leadership to distinguish the practice with the benchmarks for clinical outcomes
  • Work with market leadership to develop business strategies and patient services
  • Design and implement workplace procedures
  • Evaluate appointment procedures and patient services
  • Monitor progress in meeting operational targets
  • Manage practice performance to ensure optimal operation; regularly review reporting and make adjustments as needed
  • Maintain partnerships with community based medical, behavioral health, and addiction treatment providers, organizations and systems including hospitals, clinics, ACOs, and governing bodies

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s Degree

  • Active unrestricted Licensure in TN or the ability to obtain- Registered Nurse (RN), Nurse Practitioner (NP), LCSW, LPC, or Psychological Examiner

  • Behavioral health and addiction treatment service delivery or business management experience

  • Aptitude and experience in clinical administrative roles

  • Clinic operations experience including management of people

  • Proficiency with EMR systems and software applications

  • Excellent written and oral communication skills

  • Evidence of leadership, creativity, integrity, and initiative

 

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Master’s Degree in social work, counseling, healthcare administration or other related field
