Description

Humana’s Health Quality and Stars organization is seeking an Associate Director, Market/Industry Insights to deliver quality and value in a fast-paced, dynamic environment. The successful candidate will be self-directed, highly-engaged, and will demonstrate expertise and business intelligence to support multi-functional, cross-collaborative efforts essential to improving member health outcomes and creating better healthcare experiences with our communities and partners. This will require building and maintaining strong relationships with market teams, corporate Stars teams, Stars Analytics, provider engagement and support teams, and other partner teams. Leading thru influence to ensure Quality/Stars improvement is top-of-mind across the enterprise is our measure of success.

Responsibilities

Direct the market advisor team and leverage individual contributions in order to:

  • Build trusting relationships with market and corporate teams to remove barriers in daily activities and inspire effective, meaningful communications
  • Support Market Star Leaders in an integrated, collaborative, consultative fashion for both local and national solutions, leveraging ongoing business intelligence to drive better health outcomes and Stars results
  • Act strategically in partnering with corporate and market teams to recommend solutions and tactics to optimize existing operations and future growth
  • Facilitate improvement planning while becoming embedded into the market team yielding an intimate understanding of the daily needs and functions of each unique market
  • Assist markets with incorporating Stars vision and developing local market strategies
  • Build structured framework for market performance assessments and reviews, communication sharing, and best practices dialogue, with significant focus on large national contracts
  • Act as knowledgeable point of contact to support markets navigating corporate processes and/or structure
  • Build and maintain a forum where markets can engage in healthy dialogue, cross-collaborate, and learn and thrive from one another
  • Quarterback multi-state and large national contract and market performance, generating awareness and appropriate actions for improvement
  • Partner with analytics and business intelligence teams to share data and insights with market teams, including contract, division and regional performance trends and opportunities
  • Guide market teams on tool  and data usage to inform decision-making and  influence strategy; serving as a SME helping steer tool development partners to deliver the best outputs  enabling performance and quality improvement

               

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent work experience
  • Strong background partnering and influencing other business areas to align on and meet objectives
  • Experience leading teams, growing talent and leading cross-functionally
  • Ability to work in ambiguous, fast-pace environment
  • Self-starter – comfortable working independently to accomplish components of a larger program
  • Strong organizational and time management skills
  • Effective facilitator – direct collaborative efforts amongst internal and external partners
  • Superb communication skills (written and verbal) due to high exposure across Humana and external networks
  • Confidence and comfort in dialoguing with senior level leadership
  • Effective in utilizing reports and analytics, comprehending data trends and applying to engagement strategy
  • Ability to guide and support strategic plans based on both qualitative and quantitative data
  • Ability to manage and oversee a wide array of in-flight efforts and effectively absorb and communicate with partners
  • Comprehensive knowledge of all Microsoft Office applications, including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
