For Adult Day Health and The MENTOR Network, an Authorization & Billing Specialist is critical to our success and exemplifies the wonderful mission driven work we do here every day.
To that end, The Authorization & Billing Specialist serves as the liaison between Operations and Finance and is responsible for all revenue recognition for each person served as well as obtaining authorizations and performing routine eligibility checks while clients are in our care.

  • Provides leadership and personal accountability to ensure compliance to corporate and regulatory policies, business growth, professional development and integrity. 
  • Daily entry into the excel billing spreadsheets
  • Complete billing process for all insurances
  • Research and resolve denied claims
  • Verify and maintain insurances and update master insurance as needed
  • Reconcile monthly billing and payments
  • Maintain billing metrics
  • Run month end revenue reports
  • Handle all authorization renewals
  • Miscellaneous office work (filing, photocopying, phone coverage)

  • High School Diploma or equivalent
  • Post secondary degree preferred
  • Must be competent in standard Microsoft Office applications
  • Must have excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • 1+ years’ experience in the medical administration field and/or medical billing background preferred but not required
