Position Summary

he GetGo Beer & Wine Lead is a key player in keeping the store team running like clockwork, because our customers' clocks are ticking. The Team Member in this role is on the fast-track to store leadership, and will coach, supervise, and lead the team in addition to, and often on behalf of, the Senior Team Leader and Store Leader. From the morning rush to the afternoon lunch crowds, you will collaborate with your store leadership team and other Team Members to make sure that each customer waiting for a fresh sandwich, picking up dinner or a late-night snack for their family, or simply waiting at the pump, is met with a smile and the great service they deserve.

Job Responsibilities

  • Maintain safety as the top priority in all aspects of our work, for our Team Members, customers, and products.
  • Coach the team so everyone can help drive incredible store success. Hold the team accountable to exceptional product quality, service, store conditions and cleanliness.
  • Hold yourself accountable to the highest operational standards.
  • Review/place orders with vendors. Pull movement in GE Central and with the Motorola gun for reference. Take an active role in maintaining/building assortment by utilizing movement reports, eliminating slow movers and selecting new products. The Beer & Wine Lead will corroborate with the GetGo Merchandising Team, District Leader and Store Leadership to ensure the approved assortments are offered and planograms are followed.
  • Monitor receiving and oversee stocking of Beer & Wine products based on store delivery schedule. Stock shelves by taking product from backroom, opening boxes, and stocking product in proper location on shelf by code-dating requirements.
  • Build displays by taking merchandise by flats from backroom to sales floor and lifting products from flats to displays.
  • Block department throughout each shift.
  • Follow appropriate procedures to ensure Beer & Wine meets out-of-stock percentage goals, as well as shrink and inventory level goals.
  • Inspect department daily to ensure proper signage, and make signs/tags as needed.
  • Maintain cleanliness of equipment, floor and general sales area, and follow standards to meet sanitation requirements. Ensure floors are clean and free of spills at all times.
  • Maintain system for customer "Special Orders".
  • Assist customers with beer purchases by providing knowledgeable recommendations and food pairing suggestions.
  • Assist in the development of unique customer tasting programs and execute an in-store sampling of beer and wine.
  • Adhere to seasonal and promotional direction for Beer & Wine offerings, and measure and report results to Store Leadership. Provide feedback on the effectiveness of the seasonal and promotional offerings, and provide ideas for improvement.
  • Work with Store Leader to schedule RAMP certification and ensure RAMP standards and compliance are met. Review Team Member certifications and re-train based on compliance requirements.
  • Monitor and ensure store compliance with company and state laws, policies and procedures.
  • Ensure proper cash register procedures.
  • Identify potential under-age or intoxicated individuals and deny the sale of alchohol to those individuals.
  • Attend "in-store" team meetings and/or regional meetings, as required.
  • Participate in on-going product and customer service training programs, as required.
  • Communicate regularly with Team Leaders and Leaders.

  • High school diploma or equivalent

Experience Required

  • 0 to 6 months

Experience Desired

  • Experience in retail sales and customer service, preferably in the alcohol industry.

1st Shift - 6a - 3p, 2nd Shift - 2p - 10p
