BI Lead Analyst - Kent, UK

The analytics manager role leads a team that conducts and manages outcomes of various analyses by reviewing, forecasting, trending, and presenting information for programme operations and planning. The role supports short and long term operational/strategic business activities by developing, enhancing and maintaining operational information and models. Also develops and implements effective/strategic business solutions through research and analysis of data.

 

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Work with BI Leads to ensure that the BI workstreams are planned and managed effectively and take the lead in their successful delivery
  • Participate in relevant internal and external working groups/projects, services and initiatives to provide, information and analytical advice and expertise
  • Maintain a range of internal and external stakeholders including Commissioning senior management, Programme Boards, Finance, and Shared Services Team, Community service providers, independent sector contracts, Acute Trusts and Mental Health Services
  • Develop and implement data collection systems that will provide accurate and timely data
  • Present information and issues, explaining highly complex issues, to a wide range of internal and external stakeholders
  • To liaise with other analysts and programme members to share best practice
  • Work with Optum Solutions in an advisory capacity
  • Management of a small team

Required Qualifications:

  • Educated to degree level in relevant subject or equivalent level qualification or significant experience of working at a similar level in specialist area
  • Significant experience of successfully operating in a politically sensitive environment
  • Experience of analysis of complex data sets and presentation of outputs to varied audiences
  • Evidence of continued professional development
  • Demonstrated experience of co-ordinating projects in complex and challenging environments
  • Experience of managing risks and reporting
  • Experience of drafting briefing papers and correspondence at SMT level
  • Understanding of the public sector
  • Comprehensive knowledge  of project principles, techniques and tools, such as Prince 2 Foundation and  Microsoft Project
  • Experience of creating and giving presentations to a varied group of internal and external stakeholders
  • Experience of setting up and implementing internal processes and procedures
  • Knowledge of BI Systems
  • Experience of managing a team

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Post-graduate degree in IM&T / Informatics / statistical discipline or equivalent experience
  • Experience of monitoring budgets and business planning processes
  • Demonstrate experience in a Healthcare environment
