Big Data Engineer - Noida, UP

As a Big Data Engineer, the candidate will predominantly be involved in developing data ingestion solution for structured and semi-structured data using different big data tools or scripting languages. Candidate will be contributing in solution designing, coding, testing, and documenting. Candidate should be able to debug, improve and enhance the current process. Support/recover current operational system using Sqoop and Shell Scripting will be a part of daily activity.

The candidate filling this role is expected to take initiative in gaining technical understanding of Big Data technologies and in particular gain working technical knowledge of managing massive volumes of data leveraging Hadoop tools/technologies integrating multiple data sources. This individual would need to leverage a number of tools to accomplish his/her assignments. Entrepreneurial spirit, drive to succeed and ownership of tasks are encouraged. The ability to work later shift for overlap with US may be required.

Required Qualifications:
  • Proficient in handling Structured and semi-structured (XML, JSON, CSV) data in Big Data platform

  • Scripting Unix Shell, Python

  • Good Knowledge of SQL/query optimization

  • Working knowledge using Agile development

  • Knowledge of Big Data tools (MapR, HDFS, Spark, Sqoop, Hive, Spark SQL)

  • Knowledge of any job scheduling tool like TWS

  • Knowledge of ITIL process

  • Proven ability to quickly learn new technologies & leverage them to execute on the use cases given to solve business problems

  • Good communication skills

Preferred Qualification:

  • Java

  • Kibana, ElasticSearch, Datameer, NiFi

  • Knowledge of Tableau, R, etc.
