Join us!   The purpose of this position is to help people live their lives to the fullest by facilitating the implementation of projects that deliver informational, educational or promotional materials that provide a superior member experience, motivate and engage members, and ensure we bring innovative print, fulfillment and technology solutions in a timely, accurate, effective, and efficient manner.      The Business Analyst is responsible for activities and deliverables, with the internal / external business partners. The primary focus of this position will be to manage projects accounts and utilize project management methodology for the implementation of print and fulfillment solutions to ensure quality and customer satisfaction.   Primary Responsibilities:

  • Managing day to day project activity to ensure high customer satisfaction
  • Experience with State and Federal Government Medicaid, Medicare, Military and Veterans 
  • Initiation and management of cost benefit analysis for individual projects
  • Ownership of all phases of the project management life cycle for each project 
  • Acting as primary day to day project contact to ensure high customer satisfaction
  • Reviewing and understanding end to end processes and procedures of print and fulfillment for assigned business areas
  • Keeping leadership and business stakeholders apprised of potential or actual risks associated with implementations and provide regular status updates
  • Creation and delivery of status and project updates   
  • Demonstrates a thorough understanding of fulfillment services processes, procedures, and systems used to execute fulfillment requests
  • Monitor project dates and meet individual deliverables while supporting other team members to ensure order quality / accuracy goals are met
  • Drive projects forward utilizing all aspects of the project management life cycle
  • Provide project support by:
    • Daily monitoring projects
    • Testing activities
    • Providing status updates
    • Gathering requirements
    • Managing risk and changes
    • Tracking milestones and deliverables
    • Research and resolve quality errors and issue
  • Obtain feedback from business partners to ensure continuous improvement
  • Maintain quality by gathering and analyzing data
  • Assist with materials planning, capacity planning, monthly metrics, and overall business forecasting where applicable
  • Create policies and procedure documentation on new tasks or processes
  • Maintain and foster collaborative working relationships with team members, business partners and external vendors
  • Support the overall business goals of Optum by performing additional duties as assigned or requested

Required Qualifications:
  • Bachelor’s Degree
  • 3+ years of experience in account management
  • 3+ years of experience as a project manager
  • Experience working on cost benefit analysis and other financials
  • Intermediate knowledge of MS Excel
  • Experience coordinating or managing deliverables of third-party vendors
  • Experience interfacing with business decision-makers and system end-users to prioritize and achieve desired outcomes
  • Experiencing interfacing with Director, VP level and above
  • Must be available to travel occasionally on business
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Basic level of knowledge of MS Project
  • Experience with State and Federal Medicaid, Medicare, Military and Veterans
  • Proven ability to manage own work flow, prioritize and meet deadlines while responding to demands of multiple customers (internal and external)
  • Self-starter with excellent communication, organizational, process planning, decision making and implementation skills
  • Easily navigate through ambiguity
  • Independent worker, who can rely on extensive experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals
