The Account Master Tech team, within the Enterprise Information Technology group, is seeking a Business Analyst with a strong technical background to support the Wells Fargo Securities (WFS) Lines of Business. This position will be responsible for the gathering of requirements and the analysis of highly complex business problems and requests.

Responsibilities include:

  • Works with users to resolve issues, answer questions, identify user needs and recommend solutions.
  • Write advanced SQL queries.
  • Prepares technical documentation for development, project, risk, and compliance teams.
  • Analyze and document current platforms
  • Provide input on the sizing, scheduling and prioritization of projects and enhancements
  • Works as a liaison among stakeholders in order to elicit, analyze, document, communicate and validate requirements
  • Works closely with Systems Development teams to clarify business requirements and translate business requirements to technical/functional requirements
  • Helps QA develop detailed test plans & test cases and guides users through UAT testing. Works with downstream partners for SIT testing.
  • Documents clearly and concisely the information necessary to support the applications and solutions
  • Participates in the daily support and maintenance of the systems and applications
  • Ensures that escalated issues are tracked, reported on and resolved in a timely manner
  • Conveys a sense of urgency and brings issues to closure despite obstacles and opposition
  • Demonstrates flexibility and able to move with changing priorities

Note: work location is 301 S. College St., Charlotte, NC.

Required Qualifications

  • 7+ years of business systems analysis experience, business systems design experience, or a combination of both
  • 5+ years of experience with SAS or SQL, or other data management, reporting and query tools
  • 5+ years of experience with Waterfall and Agile project methodologies
  • 7+ years of experience capturing and documenting complex business and functional requirements
  • 5+ years of project management experience
Desired Qualifications

  • Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills
  • A BS/BA degree or higher
  • Advanced Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook and PowerPoint) skills
  • Knowledge and understanding of capital markets: business and processes
  • Ability to manage multiple small to medium sized projects simultaneously
