Job Description

Enterprise Risk Management Technology (ERMT) provides technology development and support for the Wells Fargo Risk Management organization. The application and supporting departments provide a partnership between Technology and the Risk Management line of business as the single point of contact for all technology needs; providing an understanding of Risk Management business goals in order to build a supporting technology strategic plan; and create a more holistic approach to address the needs of Conduct Management and Operational Risk.

One of the teams within ERMT is the Allegations and Patriot Act team. This team focuses on support of: Enterprise Allegations, Community Banking Branch Supervisions, Community Banking Review Standards, BSA - Customer Due Diligence, Customer Exits, and Anti-Money Laundering.

This role is a Business Systems Consultant role, within the Allegations and Patriot Act team, responsible for:

  • Acts as a liaison between client area and technical organization by planning, conducting, and directing the analysis of highly complex business problems to be solved with automated systems.
  • Provides technical assistance in identifying, evaluating, and developing systems and procedures that are cost effective and meet business requirements.
  • Works with user groups to provide training, resolve questions, assess user needs, and recommend changes.
  • Prepares specifications for system changes.
  • Recommends and initiates systems testing.
  • Acts as an internal consultant within technology and business groups by using quality tools and process definition/improvement to re-engineer technical processes for greater efficiencies.
  • Provides direction and guidance to less experienced staff.
  • Conducts requirements walk through for Business/Systems clarification.
  • Serves as liaison between QA team, Systems, and Business Area in System and User Acceptance testing.
  • Works with Business Area to identify areas for automation.
  • Implements and manages Software Development Lifecycle (SDLC) related processes and procedures to ensure application team is following appropriate standards and controls.
  • Creates schedules, communicates and coordinates complex to highly complex systems development and enhancements projects.
  • Creates and delivers management reporting related to performance of the application.

The preferred work locations are Charlotte, NC and Reading, PA . Preference will be given to those candidates that either currently live in or are willing to relocate to this location with limited to no relocation assistance. Remote work may be an option for those candidates that have Wells Fargo experience.

Required Qualifications

  • 7+ years of business systems analysis experience, business systems design experience, or a combination of both
  • 7+ years of experience writing Business Requirements Documents (BRD's)
  • 7+ years of experience capturing and documenting complex business and functional requirements
  • 5+ years of SDLC (System Development Life Cycle) experience
  • 2+ years of Agile experience

  • Banking industry experience
  • A BS/BA degree or higher in business or management
Other Desired Qualifications
  • 5+ years working within an application development environment
  • 3+ years of experience in leading small to large size projects of moderate complexity
  • 3+ years of experience leading small to large implementations which covers multiple lines of business
  • 3+ years of experience in effectively conducting project meetings, presentations, status reporting
  • 3+ years of process improvement and re-design experience
  • 2+ years of experience drafting Use Cases and test scripts
  • 2+ years of testing experience using Clear Quest or HP Quality Center
  • 2+ years of experience on Risk applications
  • Problem management experience
  • 1+ year experience supporting applications written with .NET
  • Proven ability to lead and develop technical system requirements working with end users and subject matter experts
  • Demonstrated ability to design and implement metrics reporting
  • Demonstrated ability in working under strict time constraints, and adapting to changing environments
