Acts as a liaison between client area and technical organization by planning, conducting, and directing the analysis of highly complex business problems to be solved with automated systems. Provides technical assistance in identifying, evaluating, and developing systems and procedures that are cost effective and meet business requirements. Works with user groups to provide training, resolve questions, assess user needs, and recommend changes. Prepares specifications for system changes. Recommends and initiates systems testing. Acts as an internal consultant within technology and business groups by using quality tools and process definition/improvement to re-engineer technical processes for greater efficiencies. Provides direction and guidance to less experienced staff.

As a member of the EDSSO (Enterprise Database Safety and Soundness Operations) team, this position will assist with various compliance related initiatives and tasks. Responsibilities include providing risk leadership for all control remediation efforts and preparing for Regulatory Control reviews, SACM program audits, EDM controls, ORM control testing, LOB audit support, KPMG Testing, & BCP Support. Responding/compiling Audit deliverables to ensure our environment is compliant with Wells Fargo Information Security and Regulatory requirements. This position will support areas to ensure repeatable, measureable processes are in place for the build and support of databases, and that database infrastructure is compliant with Wells Fargo Information Security, and Regulatory requirements.

This position will be working to ensure control reviews and standardization of control procedures, (as well as relevant control requirements and control standards) across database platforms are performed on an annual basis. This BSC5 will need to interact with all levels across the organization to obtain consensus during these reviews.

Required Qualifications

  • 7+ years of business systems analysis experience, business systems design experience, or a combination of both

  • Ability to navigate Policy works and understand its ISCR (change request) process
  • Ability to translate technical requirements into common business language
  • Ability to manage the review process for control procedures by DBMS and address differing opinions
  • Risk and Compliance knowledge to provide solid recommendations which consider risk and compliance situations
  • Experience working with database infrastructure or databases
  • Previous Audit, Operational Risk or Information Security experience
  • Experience creating effective presentation materials for use in senior management reviews.
  • Experience communicating with managers at various levels, project managers, project participants, and DBAs.
  • Excellent Communication skills, Analytical skills, Solution presentation skills and data presentation skills
  • Experience with Microsoft products (Outlook, Excel, Word, Powerpoint, Visio)
  • Intermediate to Advanced SharePoint skills
  • Ability to occasionally work a flexible schedule (off-hours) as this position may work with managers and team members around the world.
