Wholesale Banking provides financial solutions to businesses across the United States and globally. WFS Operations

Office Analyst 3 - Interest Rate Derivatives Trade Capture Analyst The role is based in Charlotte, NC. This position is a Middle Office role on the trade capture team supporting the Interest Rate Derivative trading desks. The team's primary responsibilities include processes related to managing trade exceptions, trade data enrichment, Regulatory Reporting, trade reconciliations and trade metrics and risk indicator reporting. The product types the team supports include Swaps, Futures, Swaptions, Caps, Floors, and Exotics. The team is also responsible for testing and validating code and process changes. The individual will contribute to efforts to remove inefficiencies, streamline processes, and remove or reduce risk associated with functional responsibilities of the team. These efforts will require collaboration with Middle Office teams in Europe, Asia, and Charlotte and other operational teams including Settlements, Confirmations, and Collateral. The role involves interfacing with multiple business partners including Trading, Sales, Finance, Technology, Compliance, Operational Risk, Operations, and Market Risk. In addition to these daily responsibilities, the candidate will work on industry-driven and strategic business initiatives specific to the OTC Rates trading business. The team member is responsible for fostering a culture that values diversity, accountability, business awareness, agility, and teamwork. Candidate should be flexible to work a schedule between: 7AM - 7PM as needed. They are accountable for execution of all applicable risk programs (Credit, Market, Financial Crimes, Operational, Regulatory Compliance), which includes effectively following and adhering to applicable Wells Fargo policies and procedures, appropriately fulfilling risk and compliance obligations, timely and effective escalation and remediation of issues, and making sound risk decisions. There is emphasis on proactive monitoring, governance, risk identification and escalation, as well as making sound risk decisions commensurate with the business unit’s risk appetite and all risk and compliance program requirements.

Required Qualifications

  • 4+ years of capital markets industry experience; or 4+ years of military experience

• Working knowledge of trading applications -Calypso (v12), MarkitWire, SEFs (Trade Web, Bloomberg, TrueEx), Catalyst

• 2+ years in a trading support role – middle and back office • Must be a self-starter, detail-oriented and be able to multitask and respond in a timely manner to ad hoc requests.

• Ability to communicate clearly and capable of adjusting communication style based on the audience.

• Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Economics, Mathematics, Computer Science or Engineering discipline.

• The individual must be comfortable working both independently and within a group to meet deadlines.

• Expertise with Excel, VBA, and\or SQL.
