Under the direction of a Registered Nurse, the CCA provides patient-focused, non-licensed clinical care to provide quality service and improve patient outcomes. The CCA will document and communicate with team members the patient's progress, needs and problems. Additional functions are assigned as appropriate by leadership (Nurse Manager, Clinical Unit Educator, Assistant Manager, Assistant Clinical Unit Educator, Charge Nurses and Primary RN).
High school diploma or equivalent. Command of the English language in written and verbal format. Completion of first semester of Nursing Clinical and NUrsing Fundamentals Course, graduate Nurse, or Certificate from an approved multi-skilled technical program, OR after completion of validated competency by unit. CPR certification (if not held, must be obtained within 90 days of employment. Hospital experience preferred.
