The Chief Operating Officer is responsible for completion of specific projects as assigned; is responsible for coordinating facility and program planning and has responsibilities for certain assigned functions and departments. Duties include budget preparation, administering and assisting in hospital policy formulation, and representing the hospital at professional, civic and governmental organizations.
Graduated from an accredited college or university with a major in Business Administration or other related degree.
Master's degree in hospital and/or health care administration preferred.
Minimum of two years of recent hospital experience in a managerial position.
Knowledge of technical and professional skills management, general principals of human resource management, labor relations,hospital economics, and general principles of planning process and techniques.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills required.
Maintains and builds relationships with co-workers, physicians and other hospital leaders.
