Uplift Family Services seeks to contract with Board
Eligible/Board Certified Child and Adolescent Psychiatrists or with a BE/BC
General Psychiatrist experienced with adolescents. Locations for these services
include Sacramento, Los Angeles and Campbell.
In Sacramento we are seeking a psychiatrist to provide 16 hours per week at one or more of our three Sacramento offices in our outpatient, FIT and wraparound programs.
In Los Angeles we are looking for someone to work 6 (8 hour days) per month (flexible schedule available) in an intensive outpatient programming.
In Campbell we are seeking a Psychiatrist to provide weekend and holiday coverage for its Crisis Stabilization Unit (CSU). The CSU is a 23-hour, 12 bed program designed to stabilize and triage youth at high risk. The program is highly successful in reducing psychiatric hospitalizations and connecting young people with community-based follow-up services.
CSU coverage on Saturday, Sunday and holidays lasts 24 hours: 3-6 hours of on-site services (depending on census), with the remaining hours covered by phone. Psychiatrists; the rate is negotiable for General Psychiatrists and qualified Child and Adolescent Psychiatry Residents, as described below.
- Applicants must be California-licensed physicians who are either (a) BE/BC in either general or child and adolescent psychiatry, or (b) general or child and adolescent psychiatry residents who have completed at least 2 years of post-graduate training as of July, 2018. (Residents who take this position will have phone back-up by a BE/BC CAP.) Applicants with child and adolescent training or experience are preferred.
Responsibilities: Duties include psychiatric evaluation and medication
management, but we also look to our psychiatrists to consult with a team of
direct service providers and to participate in their professional development. Psychiatrists
must be available to staff by phone 24/7 for urgent medication-related
situations; calls are infrequent and mental health emergencies are managed by
Hourly rate based on location and program.
