The Dedicated Advisor is a member of a the Industry account management team, interacting with member institutions and coordinating internal activities in order to deliver service, secure membership renewals, and demonstrate value. Our current opportunity is based in Washington, D.C.


Primary Responsibilities:

  • Developing relationships

  • Foster relationships with key decision makers and main points of contact at member organizations and proactively manage these relationships throughout the year to optimize the value of the Advisory Board research programs

  • Represent the Advisory Board in-person at member institutions, user groups, new member on-boarding

  • Establishing and executing specific initiatives outlined in member service plans Member service

  • Strong understanding and knowledge of member service plans across their membership

  • Conduct new member onboarding processes to ensure expectations are met and communicate progress against research initiatives

  • Interact directly with member to address member requests related to their needs

  • Commercial contribution: renewals

  • Own renewal conversations, strategy, negotiation, contracting for subset of members

  • Secure annual renewal of membership contracts and corresponding service terms at a rate that meets or exceeds given performance goals: including renewal rates


Requirements:

  •  Bachelor’s degree (or higher)

  • 1+ years of post-undergrad experience in at least two of the following:
    • Presentation experience
    • Leadership experience
    • Commercial experience
    • Client management experience
    • Teaching experience
    • Research experience
  • Experience using MS Excel (sort/filter, data entry, create/edit spreadsheets), MS Word (create/edit documents, work with templates), and MS Outlook (send emails, update calendar, create signatures)
  • Access to reliable transportation that will enable you to travel to member sites within a designated area
  • Ability to travel up to 30%-40% (nationwide)

Preferred Requirements:

  • Proven negotiation skills
  • Experience managing multiple clients
  • Demonstrated knowledge of health care subject matter
  • Experience using Salesforce
  • Client facing experience
