Wealth and Investment Management (WIM) is one of the company’s four main divisions. WIM businesses build enduring client relationships through sound, thoughtful and objective advice. Services include comprehensive planning and advice, investment management, brokerage, private banking, estate planning strategies, trust, insurance and both individual and institutional retirement.

Wells Fargo Investment Institute (WFII) is part of WIM and focused on developing and delivering the highest quality investment research and guidance to better enable our advisors and relationship managers to help WIM clients meet their financial goals. WFII guidance covers the spectrum from strategic asset allocation to the selection of individual money managers.

Global Alternative Investments (GAI) is a division of the WFII and manages proprietary and non-proprietary alternative investment products and services including; option strategies, hedge funds, managed futures, commodities, private equity, private debt and private real estate offerings.

The Global Alternative Investments (GAI) Client Service Consultant will be part of the GAI team. The primary responsibilities are to respond to inquiries from internal (Financial Advisors and Investment Strategists) and external (investors) clients concerning a variety of complex alternative investment financial products, facilitate and oversee transactions for these clients, as well as provide technical support related to the documentation and account servicing thereto.

Additional duties include:

  • Contact with existing clients to resolve service support issues
  • Coordination with other business units (legal, compliance, sales, operations) to address service support matters
  • Identify client needs and analyzing opportunities to improve service delivery
  • Assist with special projects related to service support initiatives
  • Provide guidance to other staff

This position is only available in Boston, MA or Charlotte, NC. Relocation assistance is not available.

FINRA Notification: Obtaining and/or maintaining appropriate Financial Industry Regulatory Authority (FINRA) license(s) is required for ongoing employment in this position. In addition state registration, specific product licenses or SAFE licensing may apply. Additional requirements include meeting enhanced financial fitness and criminal background standards. Wells Fargo will initiate the FINRA review process at the time of offer acceptance.

Required Qualifications

  • 5+ years of client service experience
  • 2+ years of financial services experience

Other Desired Qualifications
  • Experience implementing solutions on behalf of the customer or client, while improving productivity and customer satisfaction
  • Knowledge of alternative investments including hedge funds, private equity, private real estate and/or fund of funds
  • 2+ years of client service experience with High Net Worth or Ultra High Net Worth clients
Job Expectations

  • Registration for FINRA Series 63 (or 66) must be completed within 180 days of hire date if it is not available for transfer upon hire. FINRA recognized equivalents will be accepted.
  • Registration for FINRA Series 7 must be completed within 180 days of hire date if it is not available for transfer upon hire. FINRA recognized equivalents will be accepted.
