The Clinical Director (LCSW) is responsible for supervision of the clinical services necessary to meet the legal, organizational, medical staff and regulatory agency guidelines. Supervises case management, education and discharge planning. Provides guidance and supervision of other social workers, interns and counselors. All duties to be done in accordance with Joint Commission, Federal and State regulations, Oceans', policies and procedures and PI Standards.
Must be a LCSW in the State of Louisiana. Must possess one of the following: (1) a Master’s degree in Social Work from an accredited school of social work and at least three years of full time experience in psych.
SKILLS AND KNOWLEDGE:
Must have excellent assertive communication skills. Must be a sound leader who possesses excellent communication and interpersonal skills to foster cooperation across departmental lines and manage information, environmental and fiscal resources to accomplish goals. Must have good writing and composition skills. Must be able to organize and prioritize high volume workload. Must be able to function with minimal supervision. Therapeutic Intervention De-escalation Education required. Must have ability to maintain overall good work attitude and interact cooperatively and professionally with other staff members. Must possess basic competency in age/disability/cultural diversity needs of patients served and ability to relate to patients in a manner sensitive to those needs.
Shall be able to maintain CEU requirements, CPI and CPR certifications and complete other educational requests as assigned and/or needed to increase skill level.
