As the healthcare industry continues to change, one thing remains steadfast: Tower Health’s commitment to Advancing Health, Transforming LivesResponsibilities The Emergency Department (ED) Clinical Manager is responsible for coordinating, assessing, planning, implementing, reassessing, and evaluating the patient care provided in the ED department, under the direction of the ED Nursing Director. The Clinical Manager assists the director in supervision of the nursing team to ensure quality care and satisfaction of the patient throughout the hospitalization. Responsibility for the supervision of this unit will be reflective of the hospital’s philosophy and objectives. The Clinical Manager must be able to identify opportunities for improvement and initiate appropriate measures to ensure quality patient care. *CB Qualifications
Education: Registered Nurse, preferred BSN
Experience: Must have demonstrated success in position requiring clinical as well as supervisory skills. Must be able to function independently and perform duties according to standards. Minimum of two (2) years current experience as a Registered Nurse in the ED field. Demonstrates advanced knowledge in Emergency treatment modalities utilizing unit specific equipment; functions as a clinical resource and clinical educator for all Emergency Department staff. Must be able to follow directions, perform according to department standards, and able to function effectively under stress. Must have excellent communication skills.
- Current Pennsylvania license as a Registered Nurse required
- Must maintain current certification in BLS, PALS/ ENPC required
- Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) required
- Crisis Prevention Intervention (CPI) required
