Communications Coordinator - Meridian, ID

The Communications Operations Coordinator will assist with developing, tracking and supporting stakeholder engagement and member engagement strategies to help meet contractual obligations and expectations. This position will also be responsible for execution of planned communications delivery methods.
 
Primary Responsibilities:
 
  • Work with cross - functional teams to execute stakeholder outreach efforts, content development and contract commitments
  • Evaluate and develop relevant informational updates for the Optum Idaho website regarding local, regional and national efforts to enhance the behavioral health care system
  • Work with external stakeholders to execute delivery of communications material
  • Oversee development of internal employee newsletter
  • Drive innovations and enhancements to employee communications, programs and platforms
  • Work with local communications team members to develop and execute communications strategies for targeted audiences

Required Qualifications:
  • Bachelor Degree or higher in Marketing, Public Relations, Communications, or Business (High School Diploma/GED or higher and 5+ years of communications or related field experience may be substituted)
  • 2+ years of communications or related field experience
  • Basic computer skills on a Windows system: Microsoft Word (create and edit documents), Microsoft Excel (create, sort, and edit data in spreadsheets), Microsoft Outlook (email and calendar management), Adobe, Publisher (create, personalize and share publications and marketing materials), SharePoint- share and organize information, PowerPoint (create presentation slides, diagram)
 
Preferred:
  • Experience in working with community - based mental health programs that assist the Idaho Medicaid population preferred
  • Experience working in the health care field a plus
  • Demonstrates understanding of managed - care entities (e.g., ACO, CCO, HMO) a plus
 
Soft Skill:
  • Excellent attention to detail
  • Strong verbal, written, organization and presentation skills necessary
