Position Summary

Provide support to the PA Workers Compensation Department in the management of WC Claims in accordance with state laws and regulations

Job Responsibilities

  • Timely and accurate data of entry of all new accident reports into WC data mgt. system/corresponding with store personal as needed.
  • Assist with obtaining medical documentation from panel medical providers and documenting claims appropriately
  • Assist with scheduling appropriate medical care with panel medical providers
  • Issue appropriate Bureau of Workers' Compensation documents. Submit appropriate EDI transactions to WCAIS (Workers' Compensation Automated Integration System)
  • Manage and distribution of incoming mail, faxes, phone/email correspondence from internal and external customers within established guidelines.
  • Calculate average weekly wage and compensation rate for benefit payments and prepare corresponding Bureau Statement of Wage documents
  • Maintain clear, accurate and factual documentation of claims activities within established dept. guidelines
  • Other administrative duties as necessary to meet departmental needs
  • Maintain confidentiality and privacy in compliance with HIPAA guidelines
  • Participate in team meetings and provide ideas, suggestions and feedback to promote effective program management

Education and Training Required
