The role of the Director, Corporate Plant Operations is to provide leadership to the Oceans Healthcare system by actively directing and supporting the Plant Operations Departments at each hospital with all work related to the physical plant and ancillary systems, engineering grounds, security, and safety. This role performs surveys and inspections to ensure compliance with all regulatory agencies and has extensive knowledge with TJC, CMS, and other regulatory agencies; requirements. The Director, Corporate Plant Operations provides support to all Plant Operations Directors to ensure successful oversight of the hospital's plant operations, safety, and security. The programs supported include, but are not limited to, hazardous law and insurance regulations, buildings, grounds, equipment and occupant safety. All duties to be done in accordance with Joint Commission, Federal and State regulations, the State Department of Public Health, Oceans' Mission, policies and procedurs, and QAPI Standards. The role also provides guidance on construction/remodeling projects upon direction from organizational leadership and oversees multiple facilities. The Director presents a positive image of the hospitals to patients, visitors, physicians, and the public.
College degree in Engineering field preferred. A minimum of 5 years in Facilities management required; preferred healthcare experience. Experience in management/supervision of all facilities-related departments (EVS, Security, Grounds, Biomed, etc.) Knowledge of facility buildings, equipment, and utilities.
Ability to read, write and follow written and oral instructions. Mathematics, computer, reasoning and language skills preferred. Must be able to perform heavy work or lifting and carrying, pushing and/or pulling objects; climb ladders; and use hand tools.
Must have Driver's license. Certified in De-escalation training program preferred. Travel Required.
