Wells Fargo is seeking an attorney for a position supporting the consumer real estate mortgage origination business within Wells Fargo Home Lending. Responsibilities will include providing legal advice to the company, conducting legal research projects, and acting as an advisor to business personnel in interpreting laws and regulations, judicial opinion and regulator guidance pertaining to its marketing, advertising and communications activities and any UDAAP implications.

Required Qualifications

  • 5+ years of experience as a practicing attorney
  • Active State Bar membership
Desired Qualifications

  • Ability to analyze legal issues in substantive law in area of practice and provide effective advice to clients on complex legal matters
  • Extensive knowledge and understanding of research, counsel, and guidance on complex legal questions or inquiries
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy skills
  • Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills
  • Effective organizational, multi tasking, and prioritizing skills
  • Ability to be flexible and adaptable to changing priorities and deadlines
Other Desired Qualifications
  • Knowledge and understanding of state and federal laws and regulations, judicial opinions and regulator guidance applicable to marketing, advertising, UDAAP matters.
  • Knowledge and understanding of the consumer real estate mortgage origination business preferred, but not required.
  • The ability to work in a complex environment requiring a high degree of collaboration.
  • Experience building partnerships, functioning well with project teams and working for the success of the team.
