Wholesale Banking provides financial solutions to businesses across the United States and globally. The Wells Fargo Middle Market Banking Group (MMB) solicits and maintains relationships with businesses by offering a full array of credit, technologically advanced treasury management and investment products. These relationships represent a range of industries including professional services, general commercial, manufacturing, distribution, and global companies among other specialties. The Credit Analyst 2 is responsible for coordinating portfolio management and underwriting administration processes for a diverse credit portfolio to support regulatory analysis and reporting requirements. Functions include: managing the timely distribution and collection of compliance and policy reports; providing support to calling officers and credit team members to ensure the timely and accurate booking of loans; maintaining the collection of financial statements from borrowers and ensuring financials are assessed in an appropriate time frame;; coordinating activity in support of credit approval processes. May provide training or review work quality for other credit analysts.
The Credit Analyst 2 will also be responsible for ensuring that data quality is maintained so that data can effectively support business processes. Consults with clients and internal team members to assess the current state of data quality within area of assigned responsibility. Design and conduct moderately complex analysis to identify and remediate data quality/integrity issues and to identify and remediate process/control gaps. Recommend plans for the development and implementation of initiatives that assess the quality of new data sources. Develop recommendations for optimal approaches to resolve data quality issues. Identifies data quality metrics and executes data quality audits to benchmark the state of data quality. Develop reporting to monitor and track ongoing data quality levels. Adhere to data governance standards and procedures.

They are accountable for execution of all applicable risk programs (Credit, Market, Financial Crimes, Operational, Regulatory Compliance), which includes effectively following and adhering to applicable Wells Fargo policies and procedures, appropriately fulfilling risk and compliance obligations, timely and effective escalation and remediation of issues, and making sound risk decisions. There is emphasis on proactive monitoring, governance, risk identification and escalation, as well as making sound risk decisions commensurate with the business unit’s risk appetite and all risk and compliance program requirements.Required Qualifications
- 3+ years of credit analysis experience
- Intermediate Microsoft Office skills
- Good analytical skills with high attention to detail and accuracy
- Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills
- Intermediate Microsoft Excel skills
- Knowledge of various banking reporting systems
