Date Center Site Training Manager

Specific Duties and Essential Functions

  • Supervise security officer training program; develop, prepare, and teach appropriate training programs; conduct and/or oversee all training for security personnel at assigned data center; data entry; filing and records maintenance; ensure training compliance
  • Identify training needs; develop and/or customize training courses, content and materials; oversee and deliver training; evaluate effectiveness; and make adjustments as necessary to improve training and outcomes
  • Able to deliver appropriate course content and motivate trainees by implementing effective training methodologies in both classroom and practical/hands-on situations, use a variety of methodologies, techniques, and learning tools to maximize training effectiveness
  • Mentor and supervise Compliance Officers in all matters related to security officer training
  • Monitor and measure effectiveness of all training programs, prepare compliance
  • reports and identify areas for improvement associated with contract-specific policies, practices, and procedures
  • Provide regular reports to management regarding training initiatives, scheduling and effectiveness of employee and organizational development initiatives
  • Develop and implement method of measuring the effectiveness of training programs

Education, Licenses and Certifications Required

  • Must possess a high school diploma or equivalent
  • Ability to meet and maintain any licenses or certifications required by the state
  • Documented coursework and/or training in the delivery of adult educational material

Type and Length of Specific Experience Required

  • Work history must indicate a proficiency in training methodologies, curriculum development, and course design
  • Must have one or more of the following:
    • A minimum of two (2) years supervisory experience with a legally recognized security or investigative agency within the previous five (5) years; or
    • A minimum of two (2) years of experience as a full-time certified law enforcement officer within the previous five (5) years; or
    • A minimum of one (1) year experience as an instructor at an accredited educational institution in the subject matter for which approval is requested, or in a related field within the last five (5) years

  • Proficient at utilizing current computer- based training technology and related equipment in the delivery of on-the-job training and advanced security training programs
  • Must be willing to work across shifts as needed to facilitate training
  • Subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law
  • Must be able to provide, upon job offer, a DD214 discharge document with discharge status indicated, if prior military
