Diagnostic Imaging Assistant for Phoenixville Hospital MRI Dept
Hours: Full-time; 33 hours per week
- 7AM to 7:30PM (2 x per week)
- Every Monday/3:30-8:30PM and every other Saturday from 7AM to 3PM
Under the direction of the Administrative Director, Supervisor and Department Chairman, the Imaging Assistant employs professional imaging assistance to ensure quality management of all patients (neonate through geriatric). Receive patient to Imaging Department, confirm with patient, demographic and physician information, verifying registration and EMR are correct prior to check in. Direct patient to appropriate waiting area and or transport patient the appropriate area/floor. This individual must possess excellent communication, organizational and problem solving skills. Multi-tasking and self starting skills are a must. This position incorporates front desk reception, as well as clerical duties and patient observation and assistance. The Diagnostic Imaging Assistant will be trained in MRI safe practices to align with ACR guidelines.
- Patient Care experience, preferred
- Knowledge of medical terminology and office experience, preferred
- Knowledge of ICD-10/diagnostic codes and insurance
- Excellent communication, telephone and stress management skills
- Professional etiquette and attention to detail
- Flexibility in assignment to other duties/areas as assigned
High school diploma or equivalent.
