Director - Content Management and Personalization Lead - Eden Prairie, MN

We are seeking an experienced, innovative marketing technologist who can lead the team responsible for content management / engineering, marketing operations, marketing automation, and personalization for our consumer health service products. This strategic marketing operations role will work closely with key business partners, consumer experience design, digital product managers, content strategy, IT, and marketing team to create engaging consumer healthcare experiences. The ideal candidate will have demonstrated experience leading teams in the implementation, operationalizing, and scaling of various marketing technology platforms to drive more personalized, relevant, consumer experiences.


Primary Responsibilities:

  • Lead the strategy and implementation of CMS and other technical marketing automation / personalization tools (taxonomy management / semantic services, DAM, campaign management, digital targeting / analytics, etc) to advance our personalization efforts across the organization
  • Lead the strategy behind our content service ecosystem development efforts including improvements in the tools, people and processes surrounding content management in order to personalize member experiences by leveraging advanced analytic and consumer data
  • Responsible for developing business cases to advance the development of core marketing technology capabilities (with a focus on content management and personalization) and assisting with the technical integration of content / personalization tools and technologies 
  • Develop standards, systems and best practices for content creation, distribution, maintenance, content retrieval and content repurposing, including the real - time implementation of personalization strategies
  • Provide executive leadership speaking support aligned with the company’s overall content, marketing, and personalization technology strategy

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s Degree or higher
  • 5+ years experience working in marketing operations, campaign, or digital marketing roles
  • 3+ years directly supervising and managing a team
  • 3+ years direct experience implementing, maintaining and optimizing content management and delivery systems
  • 2+ years direct experience with A/B testing, audience segmentation, analytics, and targeting

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Hands - on experience working on global websites, including localization
  • Understanding of other integrated marketing channels including: email marketing, social media marketing, content marketing, SEO, and SEM / paid advertising
  • Solid understanding of user experience, usability, website design, html and CSS
  • Prior experience in managing technical teams to ensure flawless execution and implementation of digital properties and architectures
  • Expertise with industry standard concepts, practices, and procedures like responsive web page design, tag management, web portals, web forms, etc
  • Background with Agile, Scrum, and other software development methodologies.
  • Proven success in implementing plans effectively in a matrix organization
  • Proven ability to navigate and make decisions in an environment where all the facts aren’t available or when the path forward is unclear
  • Strong communications skills to present compelling case when offering up ideas and development opportunities to senior leaders
  • Standout idea generator and problem solver with excellent communication and organizational skills
  • Strong analytical and quantitative skills, ability to use data and analytics to understand and improve performance
