UnitedHealth Group has operations in multiple countries in EMEA, APAC and LATAM. This role will be responsible for Total Rewards strategy, policy and delivery within EMEA/ Canada and Australia and will be based in London (Paddington).

 

The Director will report into the Head of International Total Rewards and will be responsible for developing best practice total reward principles to provide solutions designed to support the business growth while maintaining alignment with overall global strategies. This role will also have two direct reports and will be responsible for mentoring, providing leadership and expert support to the Total Rewards EMEA team.

 

Primary Responsibilities:

 

Strategic Input:

  •  Develop best practice total reward principles to provide appropriate solutions designed to support the business growth while remaining aligned to broader Enterprise Total Rewards Philosophy
  • Collaborate with the International Reward Team to ensure consistent application of the Company's compensation and benefits approach
  • Implement international reward standards, policies and common processes
  • Assist in the launch of variable pay plans and new compensation programs, including training of executive and senior managers
  • Partner with the Human Capital Partners in addressing business specific needs
  • Assist with broader projects across International in regards to integration and alignment of Total Rewards policies/processes in newly acquired businesses/regions


Operational Direction:

  • Oversee the development of appropriate tools and technology for reward solutions
  • Maintain international competitiveness of UHG packages via research and benchmarking for best practice
  • Provide compensation support and analysis to support merger and acquisition activity
  • Participate in projects led by Enterprise Compensation teams where compensation expertise and guidance are required
  • Manage the relationship with key EMEA Third Party benefit providers
  • Work closely with benefits, payroll, legal, and communications to ensure alignment and compliance across the region, as needed  

 

 

 


Required Qualifications:

  • Global compensation/benefits experience in trends/costs and modeling outcomes
  • Experience working with compensation and benefits program design, competitive market analysis, forecasting
  • Familiarity with compensation and benefits compliance rules regionally
  • Strong Vendor management and Project management skills 
  • Confident working directly with senior business leaders to ensure strong stakeholder management
  • Must have good interpersonal and client facing skills with Human Capital Partners and Key Stakeholders
  • Strong organizational and time management skills, and capable of multi-tasking in a fast-paced environment
  • Effective verbal, written, and presentation skills
  • Collaborative team player, capable of contributing beyond compensation and benefits
  • Self-starter and resourceful with demonstrated ability to work effectively in matrixed work environment

  

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Human Resources, Finance/Accounting, Business, Economics or related field
  • Experience working within LATAM / Bilingual (Spanish / Portugese)
