Director of Digital Commercialization

PURPOSE OF THE POSITION:

This position will play a critical role in supporting Inspire Brands' digital initiatives across brands through the development of innovative extensions of each brand on customer-facing platforms. Key responsibilities include aligning the portfolio's digital strategies with best-in-class practice; managing the overall digital roadmap and commercialization plan across brands, and championing new use cases for emerging digital platforms with the brand leadership teams. The position will ultimately support Inspire Brands in establishing a digital center of excellence for the portfolio.

 

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

Digital Roadmap and Commercialization Plan

  • Partner with brand marketing teams to establish brand-level digital strategy, objectives, business case, and roadmap for delivering commercial value through digital projects
  • Consolidate digital roadmaps from across brands into single Inspire Brands digital commercialization roadmap reflecting key digital priorities and objectives across the company
  • Evaluate the brands' digital initiatives based on the business case, company strategic objectives and impact to other digital initiatives; assign shared services resources and set timing for new projects
  • Support IT, product partners, and brand leadership in the execution of the digital commercialization roadmap to ensure projects are delivered on-time and are high quality
  • Inform discussion with Inspire Brands' corporate Digital Committee to assess and prioritize portfolio-level initiatives and approve Inspire Brands' digital objectives
  • Promote development of innovative digital product applications across Inspire Brands; remain current on emerging technological applications
  • Represent the digital voice to the brand business leaders and support functions, advocating for use of technology to elevate the consumer experience, improve marketing ROI, and improve team processes

 

Digital UI/UX Leadership

  • Work with brand marketing and digital teams to develop the digital user experience (UX) and user interface (UI) for the brand's digital initiatives to maximize consumer and team member experiences
  • Provide thought leadership on cross-brand best practice UI/UX frameworks and design guidelines for digital applications
  • Analyze performance data to identify and quantify improvement opportunities, generating ideas for improving UX and other design guidelines
  • Manage external UI/UX vendors and agencies and assign resources to support digital initiatives across the project portfolio
  • Engage in the end-to-end UX design process and deliverables for all branded digital platforms including user flows, wireframes and prototypes, functional/business rules and requirements to effectively conceptualize and communicate high-level UX design strategies and detailed interaction behaviors across platforms and devices

 

 

EDUCATION QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Required Minimum: Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, Computer Science or related field

 

EXPERIENCE QUALIFICATION:

  • 10+ years of experience with eCommerce, digital product management, and / or digital marketing
  • Demonstrated thought leadership in digital space
  • Experience managing user-experience initiatives
  • Demonstrated experience in building and managing high performing teams
  • Demonstrated experience collaborating with both business and IT to accomplish project objectives

 

REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS or ABILITIES:

  • Knowledge of the range of activities related to the product development lifecycle (e.g., opportunity identification, product discovery, project execution, and post launch performance measurement and management)
  • Deep knowledge of agile delivery principles
  • Strong project/workflow management, prioritization, and negotiating skills
  • Proficiency with analytics tools and web traffic reporting
  • Ability to lead cross-functional teams and deliver results; conscientious about meeting project deadlines
  • Passion for the restaurant industry and a strong desire to help shape the future at Inspire Brands with entrepreneurial spirit; excited to lead a growing organization
  • Self-starter personality who can operate with minimal supervision
  • Availability to travel up to 25%
