Job Summary

Provides comprehensive training to all registration/scheduling personnel to support accurate registration, scheduling, billing, and POS Cash Collections. The Corporate Patient Access Services Trainer is also responsible for re-training of existing registration/scheduling employees requiring remedial education or education of newly adopted processes and technologies. In conjunction with IS support team, will develop and train registration/scheduling employees as needed for software upgrades as well as assist IS with testing of software changes affecting registration/scheduling personnel. Develops and maintains comprehensive training modules and training manuals. Assist with training needs necessary due to changes in Federal, State, and insurance regulations. Maintains comprehensive competency program designed to assist Patient Access Personnel and Patient Access Supervision in determining personnel readiness to perform registration/scheduling duties. Responsible for review of registration quality and reports and provides to Corporate Director Patient Access Services. Provides specific training in STAR Registration, Pathways Healthcare Scheduling (PHS), Pathways Compliance Advisory (PCA), Healthport Eligibility, Galvanon patient self-services, and Relay Health web based registration. Provides detailed training on MPI integrity and duplicate record prevention.

Job Requirements

B.S. Degree in Education, Business Administration, Healthcare Management, or Computer Science. Minimum of 3-5 years experience in a Trainer role or other related experience. Prefer a candidate with 3-5 years experience or job knowledge with computer systems that support Registration. Proficient in use of all Microsoft Office Suite, Visio, and other commonly used training software. Excellent customer service skills and demonstrated teaching skills. Excellent verbal and written communications skills. Proficient in personal computer and keyboard skills; type a minimum of 45 wpm. will possess negotiation skills that promotes teamwork to achieve job mission. Demonstrates flexibility, innovation, creativity, and critical thinking skills. Prior experience and efficiency in use of internet and web based products desirable.
