The Emergency Service Technician, under the guidance of a Registered Nurse, is responsible for providing emotional and physical comfort and safety to patients; observing, recording and reporting to appropriate persons changes in patient's condition; performing therapeutic procedures/treatment as defined by Spartanburg Regional Healthcare System Nursing Policies and Procedures; keeping the unit environment safe, restocking of supplies and checking the operation of equipment. employees are encouraged to support Spartanburg Regional Healthcare System's involvement in the community we serve.
High School graduate or equivalent required. EMT, PCA or completion of fundamental nursing course, one year experience in healthcare setting. Must be able to read, write and speak English fluently. Must be able to adjust communication both verbally and non-verbally to interact with all age groups.
