Function:Program Services Coordination/Case Management
MENTOR Oregon is seeking an Employment Specialist in the Roseburg area. This exciting program works to match individuals with a variety of disabilities who are seeking employment with jobs in which they can excel. The Employment Specialist is responsible for building rapport with job seekers to determine their skills, employment goals & objectives, developing connections with employers & agencies, and securing competitive community based jobs for adults referred for vocational services. They assist individuals in searching and interviewing for employment and provide initial training and follow-up support once they are placed in a job.
This position is currently a part-time need with hours between 20-30 hours per week. There is opportunity for full-time hours, up to 40 hours weekly, through growth and additional responsibilities. Full discussion on the hours and schedule for the position will occur during the interview phase. Candidates seeking both full and part-time hours are encouraged to apply.
- High school diploma
- Valid driver’s license
- Strong written communication skills
- Previous experience providing an array of employment services preferred including:
- Job Development (via Vocational Rehabilitation)
- Job Coaching
- Employment Path services
