PURPOSE OF THE POSITION:

The Enterprise Architect (EA) is responsible for the holistic planning, analysis, design, and implementation for the development and execution of business strategy by applying IT principles and practices to guide the integration and interoperation of all other architecture domains. Recommend and participate in activities related to the design, development and maintenance of the Enterprise Architecture (EA). Develop Enterprise Architecture artifacts and governance processes - including the triage and interpretation of business requests for technology, understanding goals, drivers and strategies, the assessment of the current capabilities of the people, processes, information and technology of the enterprise, and determine how these relate to one another and to the existing environment.

 

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  1. Develop and manage platform roadmaps and technology lifecycles, transformational initiatives, M&A technology due diligence and integration plans, and solution design and oversight across a wide and diverse portfolio of solutions
  2. Create standards, models, and guiding principles to help define and govern the future state architecture, organization structure, business processes, information systems and infrastructure
  3. Provide consultative services on projects focused on architecture compliance, development and implementation of strategic technological directives.
  4. Develop and present business cases, for high-level initiatives, for approval, funding and prioritization
  5. Solution architect providing technical guidance and training others within capability scope

  1. Represent the EA organization for data domain specific initiatives by managing, and at times leading these initiatives from an EA perspective
  2. Support architecting cloud-based applications, mobile applications and infrastructure, web services, middleware and databases needed to support the future state technology platform
  3. Establish the contribution that technology can make to business objectives, conducting feasibility studies, producing high-level business models, and preparing business cases.
  4. Ensure compliance between business strategies, enterprise transformation activities
  5. Lead vendor selection process and provides recommendations for investment in technology solutions, supported by appropriate ROI, total cost of ownership, and/or cost benefit analyses
  6. Develop architectural standards and roadmaps to migrate to standards that will add significant value to the business.
  7. Develop and maintain the Enterprise Data and Information Architecture models for Inspire Brands
  8. Direct business stakeholders to follow enterprise architecture guidance for all projects within capability scope

 

 

EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE QUALIFICATIONS:

 

Required Minimum -- Bachelor's Degree OR 10 years of professional experience (7 years of Information Technology experience, 5 years functioning as an Enterprise Architect, Enterprise Architecture certified or equivalent experience using industry standards such as TOGAF)

 

Preferred -- Master's Degree, restaurant/hospitality experience a big plus

 

REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS or ABILITIES:

  • Demonstrate solid business and organizational skills, and leadership in the use of data analysis and design tools and methodologies
  • Able to work autonomously and exhibit excellent judgment
  • Strong Technical leadership of development teams and vendors
  • Ability to work in a team in a matrix with multiple reporting lines, and may extend outside the organization including suppliers, partners and customers
  • Experience developing architectural standards and road maps
  • Experience being an evangelist for a bigger picture strategy, integrating the business and technological vision, connecting the dots across business needs, technologies, processes, and information
  • Proven experience in large-complex technical efforts, maximizing current investment and optimizing process complexity
  • Proven experience with future state architecture, taking business to the next level, creating competitive advantage to the business.
  • Proven experience in large, complex scale projects.
  • Experience in a self-service BI environment a plus
  • Knowledge of Master Data Management and Data Governance
  • Experience in data modeling, data migration, data analysis and reporting
  • Solid presentation skills, ability to effectively influence.
  • Experience developing architectural standards and road maps

  • Has a full range of strategic management and leadership skills.
  • Understands, explains and presents complex technical ideas to both technical and non-technical audiences at all levels up to the highest in a persuasive and convincing manner.

  • Develop and recommend strategic technologies for enterprise implementation.
  • Select and recommend vendors for strategic relationships.
  • Interact with department executives within the brand.

 

DIRECT REPORTS:

  • No current direct reports, but as the organization grows, the EA will have a team of junior EAs
