We are searching for a dynamic experienced professional Executive Assistant to support the CEO or OptumHealth. This Executive Assistant will need to have the ability to manage the CEO’s heavy travel schedule and calendar, as well as tracking expenses and meeting preparation. This person could travel twice a month for 1-2 days per trip between IL and MN. The CEO is based in Deerfield, IL.


Primary Responsibilities:
  • Must be professional and comfortable interacting with executive level leaders; must also be prepared to handle the complexity of coordinating travel, meetings, visitors at this level
  • This position will be supporting one C - level leader
  • Coordinate across a multi-business portfolio
  • Manage meetings (complex scheduling, material preparation and distribution, coordinating meeting space and making arrangements for remote participants) 
  • CEO calendar management
  • Handle confidential information professionally and discretely 
  • Act as administrative process guru and "go to" for the OptumHealth team 
  • Schedule and manage all travel logistics independently 
  • Manage expense reimbursement 
  • Work is frequently completed without established procedures
  • Self - directed and works independently
  • May coordinate activities and offsite meetings for other leaders
  • Provide internal and external customer service to employees, vendors and clients
  • Must enjoy working in a fast paced environment where you will be asked to balance many tasks back-to-back or simultaneously

Required Qualifications:

  • High school education or GED
  • 3+ years of experience supporting CEO or COO for a large corporation
  • Proven experience delivering a high level of internal and external customer service  
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills  
  • Advanced Microsoft suite proficiency (especially proficient in Outlook)
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Bachelor’s degree
  • Experience in healthcare
  • Ability to travel twice a month for 1-2 days per trip between IL and MN
  • Recent experience supporting a CEO or COO in a Fortune 500 or 1000 company
