Title Fall 2018 - Network - Facility and Ancillary Contracting Internship Position Posting Location Buffalo Status Part Time Temporary or Per Diem Hours 20-30 hrs per week Job Description The Network Facility and Ancillary Contracting Intern will support the team by developing and assessing pricing proposals and advise stakeholders on contractual terms, obligations and other duties related to provider contracting. Identify, analyze and implement process improvements that support effective management of business partnerships with healthcare providers that drive high-quality care for our members while maintaining a competitive cost structure for our company. Provide quality service to health care providers in order to maintain an adequate provider network and successful business partnerships resulting in substantial strategic advantage to the organization.
This is a paid opportunity, during normal business hours. The student must be able to work 20 - 30 hours per week during the Fall semester. The position is located at our corporate headquarters in downtown Buffalo. Primary Responsibility This internship presents the following Learning Objective opportunities:
•Operate and make recommendations to improve all aspects of contract life-cycle management.
•Assist in the development and assessment of pricing proposals and provider profile information for contract negotiations.
•Develop and utilize project management skills.
•Effectively communicate and interact with all levels of internal and external stakeholders.
