The Manager Financial (Reimbursement) has responsibility for the following:
This position is responsible for timely completing the annual Medicare/Medicaid cost report for all entities and compliance with other regulatory reporting requirements. Ensures all supporting documentation needed for completion of reports are appropriately compile and maintained
This position is the relationship manager for interactions with the MAC and SCDHSS on reimbursement issues.
This position is responsible for reparation and timely completion of all reporting required by Medicaid and other agencies for supplemental payment programs (medical education related reimbursements, DSH, etc.)
This position is responsible for interpretation of Medicare and Medicaid rules, regulations, and guidelines and providing guidance for ensuring appropriate payments from governmental payers and for management of all appeals. Prepares impact analysis as needed.
This position is responsible for preparing monthly journal entries to record non-patient specific Medicare and Medicaid transactions (settlements, GME/IME, DSH/UPL accruals, pass through payments, etc.).
The Manager Finance (Reimbursement) is responsible for analysis and reconciliation of general ledger activity related to third party payers receivable and liability accounts.
Serves as a resource in addressing and resolving reimbursement matters.
This position will be customer focused and insure that all operations function to meet the needs of internal and external customers while adhering to all appropriate controls and applicable policies. Responsible for other duties as assigned.
Required: Bachelor's degree Accounting, Finance or related field Preferred: Master's in accountancy or related field or MBA
Required: 7 to 10 years Preferred: Ten to 12 years.
