The Capital Markets Securities Operations and Accounting ("SOA") Group is seeking a highly motivated individual to join our team. This position will be responsible for the execution of various controls and the review of financial results for the various products supported such as available-for-sale and held-to-maturity securities, Wells Fargo issued debt, hedging derivatives, affiliate funding, various structured investments, and non-marketable equity securities across numerous legal entities and subsystems. The position is involved in certain aspects of multiple projects and supports general ledger accounts and system general ledger mapping rules.

The candidate should be an independent thinker, self-starter and capable of leading. The individual should have strong communication skills as frequent interaction is required with numerous business partners.

This position will require the ability to successfully perform multiple work functions in a fast-paced environment and to assist with a variety of projects/initiatives in support of corporate goals and initiatives. This position will also be required to successfully partner with multiple business groups.

Must be based in posted location.

Required Qualifications

  • 4+ years of experience in one or a combination of the following: finance, accounting, analytics, financial reporting, accounting reporting or risk reporting; or a BS/BA or higher in Finance, Accounting, Statistics, Economics, or Business and 2+ years of experience in one or a combination of the following: finance, accounting, analytics, financial reporting, accounting reporting or risk reporting
Desired Qualifications

  • Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills
  • Strong analytical skills with high attention to detail and accuracy
  • Strong organizational, multi-tasking, and prioritizing skills
  • An active Certified Public Accountant (CPA) designation
  • Ability to manage effectively in a matrixed organization
  • A BS/BA degree or higher in one or a combination of the following: Finance, Accounting, Analytics, or Reporting
Other Desired Qualifications
  • Capital markets/Treasury experience
  • Securities, Debt and Hedge accounting experience
  • Ability to partner across multiple disciplines
  • A BS/BA degree or higher in one or a combination of the following: Finance, Accounting, Analytics, or Reporting
  • Ability to manage effectively in a matrixed organization
