Description

Ohio MENTOR is seeking dedicated and talented professionals to serve as foster care case managers and therapists for children within our Therapeutic Foster Care Program. These professionals will serve a small case load of youth and provide both foster case management and behavioral health services.The qualified candidate will have at least a social work license and bachelor’s degree in social work or related field. Highly qualified applicants will have at least a master’s degree and professional license. This dual role allows the professional to focus on the unique needs of a small group of youth with multiple challenges using a trauma-informed therapeutic approach 


Working with an incredible team of professionals, coordinate the development and implementation of treatment to referred adolescents and their families.  Oversee a services provided to individuals and their families, ensuring the quality of care delivered, and monitoring compliance with regulations.


Essential Job Functions:

  • Provide counseling for stress, adjustment, behavioral, emotional, and social difficulties.

  • Ensure clients are engaged in their respective treatment and in the treatment process.

  • Assist parents in developing trauma-informed parenting skills to better meet the needs of children in their care.

  • Monitor programs for Network, state, and federal regulatory compliance.



Qualifications:

Qualifications:

  • Bachelors Degree, Masters preferred. 

  • LSW, LISW or LPC required.

  • Experience in trauma-informed care preferred.

  • Exceptional communication skills with an ability to establish trust and rapport quickly with young people.

  • A Good Listener with an ability to empathize while still providing guidance.

  • Strong organizational skills and documentation skills in managing your own schedule.

  • Valid driver’s license in good standing.

  • Since Therapists often provide transportation to individuals, owning a registered and insured vehicle is required.

  • Successful clearance of local and/or state background checks.
