The FP&A Senior Financial Consultant plays a key role within OptumRx, a fast-paced, high growth (both organic and through M&A), exciting organization.  This is a “go-to” position on our SG&A team that supports strategic initiatives, builds senior management reporting and provides insight for key business decisions.

Primary Responsibilities:
  • Prepare meaningful, decision enabling senior management financial reports that clearly articulate key drivers and suggest action plans
  • Support monthly reporting and analytics for OptumRx Corporate Charges (Real Estate, Support Functions, and Enablement Services) which includes summarization and consolidation of results vs. budget & forecast and assisting in developing the financial narratives for variance explanation for executive distribution
  • Support quarterly forecast process for OptumRx Corporate Charges (Real Estate, Support Functions, and Enablement Services) including updating current forecast outlook
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand detail charges within Corporate chargebacks
  • Analyze Capital and Depreciation including monthly reporting on spend and efficiency
  • Serve as crucial liaison between FP&A and the departmental finance groups to communicate chargeback performance, opportunity for efficiency and process improvement
  • Continually develop and refine internal financial modeling and process improvements

Required Qualifications:
  • BS/BA degree in Finance/Accounting or a related field
  • 4+ years of experience performing financial and variance analysis, budgeting and forecasting, and preparing financial reports
  • Advanced proficiency level working with Excel
  • Analytical, quantitative, interpersonal, communication and organizational skills
  • Self-motivated to work independently and also be a team player
  • Demonstrated ability to work with other and communicate effectively (both verbal and written
  • Ability to problem solve including multiple priorities and research conflicting and/or inaccurate data
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Essbase and/or Smartview experience
  • SGA or Expenses experience
  • Large, matrix organization experience
  • Collaboration with cross-functional teams
