We are seeking a hands-on, results-driven and highly motivated General Manager to lead all aspects of the operations and management of Old Town Trolley Tours® of Boston.

This executive position provides overall direction of the transportainment experience within guidelines set by the corporate executives. Plan, direct, or coordinate operational activities at the highest level of management with the help of staff managers in accordance with the company’s mission to be The Nation’s Storyteller ®.

  Position Requirements

Required Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

  • Must have 5-7 years of strong managerial experience, hospitality experience preferred

  • Experience preparing budgets

  • Must pass annual Motor Vehicle Reports (MVR) checks as required by the Department of Transportation (DOT)

  • Ability to learn and memorize scripted tours and routes as assigned

  • Ability to analyze operations to evaluate the performance of a company and the staff in meeting objectives, maximize investments and to determine areas of program improvement, or policy change

  • Experience developing action plans to enhance the operation or solve organizational or departmental problems

  • Ability to speak with government officials, and media representatives and use these relationships to develop new business opportunities

  • Ability to travel required


  • Must be able to obtain a Commercial Driver License which will include passing a DOT physical

    • Will provide training if necessary
  • Must have a valid Driver’s License with an acceptable and verifiable driving record of at least three years
