This Emergency Response Operations Center operates 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, 365 days a year, requiring individuals willing to work flexible schedules including weekends and holidays on a rotating basis. We are looking for people who enjoy learning and are critical thinkers. Our office is located at 10175 Little Patuxent, Columbia, Maryland 21044.
Ensures quality customer service for internal and external customers.
Responds to incoming customer service requests, both verbal and written., appropriately and courteously
Identifies and assesses customers' needs quickly and accurately.
Solves problems systematically, using sound business judgment.
Handle straightforward inquiries with the urgency and confidence to give customers confidence in our ability to manage more complex requests and situations.
Resolve simple requests, such as benefit and pre-travel inquiries, in one call.
Ability to follow processes and procedures and adapt techniques to meet more complex issues
Be able to clearly articulate the Assistance product that UHCG provides
100% Customer Service Focused and Quality delivery is required in this role
Able to work in a fast paced, flexible environment
Strong attention to detail
Maintains timely, accurate documentation for all appropriate transactions
- High School Diploma / GED (or higher) or equivalent work experience
- 3+ years of customer service experience analyzing and solving customer problems
- Familiarity with computer and Windows PC applications, which includes the ability to navigate and learn new and complex computer system applications
- Healthcare experience
- Prior travel assistance experience
- Prior case management experience
- Ability to multi-task including ability to understand multiple products and multiple levels of benefits within each product
