Wells Fargo Payments, Virtual Solutions & Innovation (PVSI)

The PVSI group aligns and integrates groups from across Wells Fargo to focus on the delivery of the next generation of payments capabilities and advance our digital and online offerings. This group also invests in research, development and strategic partnerships dedicated to designing new customer experiences and products. This group includes Consumer Credit Cards and Retail Services, Deposit Products, Treasury Management and Merchant Services, Innovation, One Wells Fargo, Virtual Channels and Operations.

The Role

The Global Solutions Program Office (GSPO) is looking for a proactive Business Leader to work closely with key business partners including risk, legal, human resources, and others to help drive a multi-year program strategy and manage a portfolio of initiatives that will support and prudently grow our global delivery program.

He/She will formally manage a team of people in program and assessment roles that are located in the U.S., India and Philippines. This person will also manage the team responsible for assessing processes that are candidates for global delivery.

Finally, this role will manage all change management initiatives for the GSPO. In a matrixed manner, this leader will oversee transitions as this support will be provided by a dedicated team at FSS-EGS. In addition, he/she will be part of a working group for the FSS-EGS leader of solutions and transitions.

Candidate must be available to travel internationally.

Specific responsibilities:

  • Work with PVSI LOB leaders to assess global delivery opportunities. Some of the work will be direct assessments with the LOB, while the team will serve as advisors in other engagements
  • Effectively manage and lead a disciplined and centralized intake/tracking process for all new and modified global delivery requests
  • Prioritize, monitor and manage a portfolio of projects and initiatives with varying levels of complexity, risk, duration and prioritization (with new items being added each week)
  • Manage project/program resources both domestically as well as internationally (India and Philippines). Ability to work effectively in a team environment and across all organizational levels, where flexibility, collaboration, and adaptability are important
  • Translate complex analysis, metrics and insights into executive communications with diverse groups of leaders and organizations. This includes the ability to request information from multiple/disparate groups, consolidate, review and provide credible challenges on the information received to report out findings
  • Create and maintain necessary program documentation
  • Create and maintain governance and communications playbook to ensure necessary program transparency throughout PVSI across multiple leadership levels
  • Provide robust audit and examination readiness including the coordination, review and management of both internal and external data requests from audit, regulators and other stakeholders
  • Partner with LOBs, (both within and outside of PVSI) as well as Enterprise Global Services to share best practices, as requested

The Candidate

The successful candidate will also possess the following:

  • Experience in leading divisional program development, implementation and adoption of long-term strategies, policies, protocols, governance and process advancements without significant senior management direction
  • Management skills include proven ability to execute with quality and urgency within definitive timelines for completion while balancing multiple priorities
  • Proven success managing relationships with global external vendors and/or in-house global delivery teams
  • Leader capable of attracting, mentoring, retaining and promoting talented and productive staff
  • Experience in leading divisional program development, implementation and adoption of long term strategies, policies, protocols governance and process advancements without significant senior management direction

Required Qualifications

  • 10+ years of strategic planning experience
  • 5+ years of management experience

  • Process engineering experience; such as Six Sigma - DMAIC, LEAN, Agile, etc.
