Overview

Responsible for providing guests and members with assistance in the golf department as well as supervising staff. Work alongside the Sale department in regards to planning and executing golf events.  Provide lessons and golf clinics as requested.

Responsibilities
  • Supervising and scheduling staff and marshals.
  • Maintaining facility.
  • Plans, promotes and directs all golf activities including daily management responsibilities and tournament operations.
  • Coordinating and executing member, resort and visitor golf groups to maximize guest satisfaction.
  • Assists the Sales department to create social events to promote the facility and attract new guests.
  • Conducting individual lessons and golf clinics.
  • Performing other duties as assigned by the Director of Golf and Grounds.
  • Interact with the Retail department as to staffing and operations of Golf Pro Shop.
  • Interprets and enforces club policies, rules and regulations.
  • Assists in the development of short- and long- range plans for improvements to the club facilities and course.
Qualifications
  • Must be able to interact professionally with members and guests.
  • Ability to operate golf cart/Driving Range Picker.
  • Valid driver’s license.
  • Proficient at Golf operations software (EZ Links) and Microsoft Office.
  • Candidate must have proven work ethic and strong work history, be team players.
  • Excellent oral communication skills and electronic are required.
  • Must be able to understand and act on instructions and requests of members and guests.
  • Good hand/eye/foot coordination required.
  • Ability to work days, nights, weekends, holidays.
  • Passed PAT or proven ability to pass PAT by achieving a qualifying PAT target score
  • 1-3 years frontline service experience as an Assistant Golf Professional, PGA apprentices Level 3 or greater preferred.
  • Must be able to withstand a range of extreme outside weather conditions (heat, cold, rain, etc.).
  • Must be able to withstand prolonged exposure to sunlight.
  • Ability to lift, push, pull or carry up to 50 pounds.
  • Ability to stand for long periods of time.
  • Ability to bend at waist and perform repetitive hand, wrist, and foot action.
  • Good hand/eye/foot coordination required.
