Healthcare Data Coordinator - Irvine, CA

Monarch Hospitalist Admin department supports a team of 40 board certified physicians and advanced practice clinicians who provide specialized care in 7 hospitals and 20 skilled nursing facilities in Los Angeles and Orange County, CA.  This department supports the business systems that allow our providers to focus on providing compassionate care for each and every one of our patients. 
 
The Data Coordinator is responsible for submitting coded encounters to the biller for processing and must train physicians on how to use the revenue charge capture application. 
 
Primary Responsibilities:
  • Reviews the encounter record for billing services
  • Ensures that data is complete from providers and ready to load
  • Trains providers on proper use of the revenue charge application
  • Interfaces with coders and pull medical records from medical facility
  • Executes billing reports, converts into Excel and provide basic data analytics.
  • Create informational reports for staff and management.
  • Understands and works with medical billing processes (revenue cycle)
  • Will be cross training with credentialing and other areas of the department
  • We are looking for individuals with the following attributes:
    • Must be able to comfortably interact professionally with providers.
    • Must have excellent attention to detail
    • Comfortable learning new technology and processes
    • Excellent organizational skills
    • Team Player
    • Excellent written & verbal communication skills

Required Qualifications:

  • High school education or equivalent experience
  • 1+ years of experience:
    • Working in an office setting doing administrative work
    • Data Entry
  • Intermediate experience with Excel

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Managed Care office experience
  • Familiarity with Medical Billing workflow
  • High Tech with a desire to improve work processes<?xml:namespace prefix = "o" ns = "urn:schemas-microsoft-com:office:office" />
