Job Summary:

The HME Supervisor is responsible for the daily warehouse operations: receiving, inventory control, selection, stocking, shipping activities, assigning, scheduling and directing work of warehouse staff in the packaging/preparing of equipment and supplies prior to distribution, loading/unloading and stocking supplies in the warehouse, cleaning/sterilizing all types of medical equipment, supervision of the Service Technician(s), bio-med  and warehouse assistant(s). Responsibilities of the Supervisor also include warehouse inventory and purchasing of supplies for the branch according to PAR levels, ensures efficient and accurate delivery of supplies, acts as a back-up driver when needed, ensures vehicle maintenance in accordance with regulatory standards, approves payroll in a timely manner and ensures education/training for his direct reports. Performs all functions in professional and ethical manner and collaborates with other members of the health care team to ensure quality patient care.

  • Attends all required in-service programs to maintain comprehensive home care knowledge base.

  • Demonstrates effective time management skills by completing assignments within projected time frames.

  • Expresses verbal and written communication in a clear, positive, and cooperative manner.

  • Demonstrates personal responsibility with regard to attendance and punctuality.

  • Promotes Company’s philosophy, mission statement, and administrative policies.

  • Maintains privacy and confidentiality with regard to all patient, staff and Agency information.

  • Promotes the Agency image by adhering to the Dress Code.

  • Follows the appropriate chain of command in all forms of communication.

  • Demonstrates flexibility, enthusiasm, and willingness to cooperate while working with others or in place of others as necessary.


Preferred Qualifications: 

  • High school diploma or GED equivalent required. 

  • Strong attention to detail and professional customer service skills required.

  • Must be able to communicate, speak, read and follow written and verbal instructions in English effectively.

  • A minimum of three years delivering home medical equipment experience and/or supervisory experience.

  • Computer skills and proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel

  • Knowledge of medical terminology

  • Knowledge of EMR system related to home medical equipment.

  • Knowledge of HIPAA compliance rules and regulations

  • Skill in the operation of office equipment and smart phones

  • Solid customer service skills and excellent interpersonal skills
